Moline
C. E. Elliott

C. E. Robert Elliott, 77, of 1555 31st Ave., Moline, died yesterday at Moline 
Public Hospital.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, and 
9:30 a.m. st Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Moline. Burial will be in St. 
Mary's Cemetery, East Moline.

Vistation is from 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home, where the Rosary 
will be recited at 7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Church Building Fund, Moline, or the 
Heart Fund.

Mr. Elliott was born in Sidell. He married Clara Vandervennett in 1930 in 
Moline.

He was a manufacturing representative for 10 years for Gurley-Ortman Co., 
Chicago, and Apex-Broach & Machine Co., Detroit. He retired as chief tool 
research engineer in 1963 after 47 years at the Farmall Plant of International 
Harvester Co., Rock Island.

He was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are the widow; four daughters, Mrs. Eugene Marre, Oakbrook, Mrs. 
Gerald Hourigan, Moline, Mrs. David Nolan, Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. E 
Fritz Fahrenbacher, Quincy; 18 grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Frances 
Palmer, Sidell.
