Obituary for Earnest E. Fanning Earnest E. Fanning, 63, of 825 Fifty-third street, Moline, died at 5 o'clock this morning in a local hospital. Mr. Fanning was born June 17, 1877 in Waverly, Ill. and Waverly schools, later being graduated from Monmouth college. He married Mrs. Mae Wickham Dec. 26, 1903 in Burlington, Iowa. The couple moved to Moline in 1918. Mr. Fanning taught school 29 years and was principal of Hampton rural school four years. He was employed as an attendant at East Moline State hospital the last four years. Surviving are the widow; two sons, Chester of Moline and Lester of Racine, Wisc.; a daughter, Mrs. Axel Thornbloom of Moline; and a brother, Sylvester of Burlington. Funeral services will be at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon in Furgie funeral home, Moline. The Rev. A.W. Kortkamp will officate.
