Graves, Drug Store Owner, Succumbs to heat Attack in Residence. Samuel Henry Graves, 43, proprietor of the Long View pharmacy, 1201 Fifteenth street, Rock Island, died suddenly of a heart attack at 4:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon in his home, 1044 Fourteenth street. He worked at the drug store yesterday, going home to rest at 3 o'clock. Shortly before 4:30 Mrs. Graves observed that he was breathing heavily. She summoned a physician, but Mr. Graves was dead when the doctor arrived. Mr. Graves was born in Villa Ridge, Ill., June 6, 1896, a son of Mr. And Mrs. F. E. Graves. He was graduated from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1920. He Married Miss Rosalie Baur in Durand, Wis., June 29, 1920. The couple lived in Merrill, Wis., a year, resided in East Moline four years, and came to Rock Island 13 years ago. Mr. Graves had operated the Long View pharmacy since moving to this city. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church. Surviving are the widow; seven children, Edward, Mary Rosalie, Theresa, Jean, Patricia, Joseph and Roberta, all at home; his mother Mrs. F. E. Graves of Villa Ridge; two brothers, Louis of Villa Ridge and John of Ajo, Ariz.; and three sisters, Mrs Frank Lindrum of Thermal, Calif., Mrs. R. Levitt of Villa Ridge and Sister Mary Rosana of Manchester, Mo. The body was taken to the Wheelan funeral home. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock tonight and tomorrow night in the funeral home. Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock in the funeral home and at 9 in St. Joseph's Catholic church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. P. H. Durkin will officiate, and burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Surviving are the widow; seven children, Edward, Mary Rosalie, Theresa, Jean, Patricia, Joseph and Roberta, all at home; his mother Mrs. F. E.
