A. Griffin, 67, of Moline Taken by Death Milton Alton Griffin, 67, of 2433 47th St., Moline, died at 12:20 this morning in Moline, died at 12:20 this morning in Moline Lutheran Hospital after an extended illness. Funeral services will be at 1:30 Friday afternoon in Esterdahl Chapel with the Rev. Walter A. Tillberg, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel. Mr. Griffin, a life resident of Moline, was born Dec. 8, 1888 in Moline, the son of Asbury and Sarah Griffin. He attended scholls in Moline. On Nov. 15 1909, he married Ethel V. Johnson in Moline. For 12 years he was employed as an assembler by Minneapolis Moline Co., retiring in 1946. He was of Lutheran faith and a member of Modern Woodmen of America. Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Alice Damp, East Moline; Mrs. Ruby Lang, Hampton, Mrs. Dorothy Sayre, Orion; Mrs. Martha Minnaert, Geneseo and Mrs. Rose Bleuer, Mrs. Eunice Reehl and Mrs. Helen Frazier, all of Moline; three sons, Clarence and Donald, both of Moline, and Elmer, Rock Island; two brothers, Bert, Peoria, and Asbury, sunny Hill; three sisters, Mrs. Blaanche Ferry and Mrs. Goldie Beckstrom, both of Moline, and Mrs. Grace Koppe, SanJose, Calif.; 24 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death on Oct. 17, 1946, besides one sister and a brother.
