OBITUARY for ROCK ISLAND COUNTY, ILLINOIS. Mrs. Margarette E. Gibson Found in the DAILY DISPATCH, MOLINE, ILLINOIS WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5, 1947 DEATH NOTICES GIBSON Mrs. Margarette E. Gibson, 82, who had resided with her son, Robert Gibson, of 1804 Nineteenth avenue, Moline died in a local hospital at 6 p.m., Tuesday Born July 24, 1864 in London, England, the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Thomas Welch, she came to Moline at the age of six, and was reared and educated there. On Feb. 19, 1884, in Moline, she was married to Samuel Gibson, and they lived in Rock Island and Moline during the period preceding Mr Gibson`s death in 1939. At that time she went to live with her son in Moline. She was a member of St. Joseph`s Catholic church while living in Rock Island. She was preceded in death by three children Surviving in addition to Robert Gibson are two other sons, George, of Chicago, and Samuel, of Rock Island. The body was removed to the Wheelan funeral home, where it will lie in state before 5 p.m., today. Services will be conducted at 9 a.m. from St. Joseph`s. Burial will be in the Calavary cemetery. A rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 8 p.m., Thursday.
