Hamerlinck, 85, of 3620 43rd St., Moline, who died Saturday, will be at 9 a.m. at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, and at 9:30 a.m. at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Moline. The Rev. Richard Bresnahan, pastor, will officiate, and entombment will be in St. Mary’s Mausoleum. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where a rosary will be recited by the Catholic Order of Foresters, Sacred Heart Court 1691, at 6 p.m. and a wake service will be at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Building Fund. Mr. Hamerlinck was born Sept. 17, 1898 in Moline, where he married Florence DeSchepper in 1922. He was employed as a polisher with John Deere Plow-Planter Works, Moline, for 38 years, retiring in 1964. Mr. Hamerlinck was a member of the above church, the Kingsmen and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Jean D. Hamerlinck, and a son, J. Donald, both of Moline; two grandchildren; two sisters, Stella Verbecke of Reynolds and Dorothy DeSchepper of Milan; and two brothers, Joseph of Milan and William of Orion.
