Florence Hamerlinck

Services for Florence F. Hamerlinck, 96, of 1718 35th St., Moline, are 9:30 
a.m. Monday at DeRoo Funeral Home Ltd., Moline, and 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart 
Church, Moline. Entombment is in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Moline.

Visitation is 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to 
Alzheimers Association or American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Hamerlinck died Wednesday, June 4, 1997, at the Kahl Home for the Aged 
and Infirm, Davenport.

Florence F. DeSchepper was born Sept. 28, 1900 in Milan, to Charles and Julia 
DeConnick DeSchepper. She married John P. Hamerlinck Nov. 29 1922 in Moline. 
He died June 2, 1984.

She was a bookkeeper for the former Builders Lumber, Moline, and Trevor 
Hardware, Moline.

She was a member of Christ the king Church, Moline, and its Women’s Guild and 
National Catholic Society of Foresters, Sacred Heart Court 956.

Survivors include a son. John Donald Hamerlinck, Moline; grandchildren, 
Eldreda A. Johannessen, Bergen, Norway, and Gerald T. Tunnicliff, Washington, 
D.C. She was preceded by a daughter, Jean D. hamerlinck.
