George Hamerlinck

Orion – George A. Hamerlinck, 70, of 707 13th Ave. Ct., died last evening in 
Moline Public Hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mary, Our Lady of Peace, Roman 
Catholic Church, Orion, with the Rev. Charles DeWitte officiating.

Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Kirk & Huggins Funeral Home, with the 
Rosary at 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Mr. Hamerlinck was born Sept. 20, 1904, in Moline, a son of Julius and Emily 
Grypp Hamerlinck.

He was reared and educated in rural township, Rock Island County. He was 
retired from John Deere Co. and was presently employed at W. J. Nelson & Sons, 
Ophiem.

He married Myldred Grant on June 20, 1934, in Columbus Junction, Iowa.

He was a member of Mary, Our Lady of Peace Church, the Holy Name Society of 
the church, and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Dennis of Taylor Ridge and Dallas of 
Des Moines, Iowa; three brothers, John of Moline, Joseph of rural route Milan 
and William of Orion; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy DeSchepper of Milan, Mrs. 
Clayton Fredell of Orion and Mrs. Albert Verbeke of Reynolds, and six 
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers.
