Moline Deaths
Julius Hamerlinck

Julius Hamerlinck, 85, of Orion, a retired farmer, died at 7:55 this morning 
in Moline Public Hospital after an illness of five months.

Mr. Hamerlinck, a son of August and Juliua Hamerlinck, was born July 9, 1874, 
in Ausenie, East Flanders, Belgium. He attended schools there and came to 
Moline in 1891. He had resided in Rock island County 69 years, and farmed for 
45 years southeast of Milan before retiring.

He married Emily Gripp Oct 9, 1897, in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 
Colona.

Surviving are the widow; five sons, John, Moline, Joseph, Milan, George, 
Robert and William Orion; Three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy DeSchepper, Milan, 
Mrs. Stella Verbeck, Reynolds, and Mrs. Louella Fredell, Sherrard; 35 
grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. The body is at DeRoo Funeral Home 
Moline, pending arrangements.
