Moline Deaths
Mrs. Julia Hamerlinck.

Mrs. Julia Hamerlinck, 90 years old, resident of Moline and Rock Island county 
49 years, died at 3:30 o’clock this morning in the home of her son and 
daughter-in-law, Mr. And Mrs. Julius Hamerlinck, three-and-a-half miles 
northeast of Orion. Death resulted from infirmities of old age.

Mrs. Hamerlinck leaves 43 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 8:30 o’clock Friday morning in the home of 
her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. And Mrs. A. C. VanderVennet, 1404 Sixteenth 
avenue, Moline, and at 9 o’clock in Moline Sacred Heart church. The Rev. J. B. 
Culemans will be in charge. Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery, East 
Moline. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 o’clock Thursday evening in Moline 
Sacred Heart church. The body will be removed from DeRoo funeral home, Moline, 
to the VanderVennet residence at 5 o’clock Thursday afternoon, where friends 
may call.

Mrs. Hamerlinck, the former Miss Julia Aernaut, was born March 7, 1849, in 
Assenede, Belgium. She was married to August Hamerlinck in Belgium in 1872. 
They came to America and directly to Moline in 1891.

After the death of her husband March 5, 1912, Mrs. Hamerlinck resided with her 
son-in-law and daughter, Mr. And Mrs. A. C. VanderVennet in Moline. She moved 
to the farm of her son, Julius, near Orion, seven years ago. She was a member 
of Moline Sacred Heart church and of the church altar society.

Surviving are two sons, Julius of Orion and Henry of Milan; 22 grandchildren 
and 43 great-grandchildren. Her daughter, Mrs. VanderVennet, died Jan 1, 1930, 
and a son, four brothers, and five sisters also preceded her in death.
