Mary E. Leemans, 67, of Moline, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at Trinity 
Medical Center, Rock Island.

Funeral Services are 9:15 a.m. Monday at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, and 10 
a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline.  Burial will be in National 
Cemetery, Arsenal Island.   Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at DeRoo 
Funeral Home, Moline, with a 4:30 p.m. Christian wake service.  Memorials may 
be made to the church or the American Cancer Society.

She was born October 30, 1935, in Moline, the daugher of David and Teresa 
Evelyn Trogden Morgan.  She married Arthur R. Leemans October 17, 1953, in 
Moline.

Mary was supervisor and manager of the cosmetics department at Walgreens, 
Moline, for 30 years.  She retired in 2002.

She is a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and the Ladies Golf League 
at Saukie Golf Course, Rock Island.  She was an avid golfer, enjoyed gardening 
and was an excellent cook.

Surviving are husband, Arthur; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Timothy 
Johnson, Moline; sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur Jr. and Greta Leemans, 
Moline, Brian and Cheryl Leemans, East Moline, and Kevin Leemans, Rock 
Island;  12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Louise 
Barnett, Silvis.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Marie, in 
1962; a son Joseph, in 1982, and a sister, Diane.
