IN THE COUNTY COURT (IN PROBATE) OF SALINE COUNTY, IL In the matter of the Estate of William MATHEWS, Deceased Verified petition of James MCFARLAN, for Letters of Administration, filed April 9, 1866, recites among other things that William MATHEWS departed this life at his home in Saline County, IL on or about the 1st day of April, 1866 intestate, and left surviving, James MATHEWS, Alice MATHEWS, Udora MATHEWS, John MATHEWS, his children, as his only heirs at law. Petitioner asks that he may be appointed Administrator of said Estate upon subscribing to Oath and entering into Bond. ORDER entered April 9, 1866 appointing James McFarlan, Administrator of the Estate of William Mathews, Deceased. OATH of Administrator subscribed to and filed April 9, 1866. BOND of Administrator filed and approved April 9, 1866. LETTERS OF ADMINISTRATION issued to James McFarlan, as Administrator of the Estate of William Mathews, Deceased on April 9, 1866. INVENTORY filed and approved lists among other real estate the following: NE1/4 of SE 1/4 of Section 24, Town 10 S. Range 6 East FINAL REPORT of the account of James McFarlan, Administrator of the Estate of William Mathews, Deceased, filed March 23, 1870, shows all debts and claims filed against said Estate fully paid, and asks the Court to be discharged.
