S. A. Son of Mrs. Margaret Alewalt, 635 North Fourteenth street, Springfield. Born October 16, 1894, in Springfield. Entered service June 25, 1918. Received training at Camp Taylor, Ky., and Camp Kearney, Calif. Was at Camp Kearny when the Armistice was signed. Discharged February 22, 1919, at Camp Grant.
