CLYDE ROBERT ALKIRE
Seaman, First Class, United States Navy. Son of Mrs. Rosa Renne, 723 North Third
street, Springfield. Born March 14, 1900, in Springfield. Entered the service April
29, 1917, in Springfield. Received his training at Great Lakes Naval Training
Station. Sailed overseas on the U. S. S. Utha. Was on board the U. S. S. Utha when
the Armistice was signed. Discharged August 18, 1919, at Great Lakes.
