Top Cook, Battery A, 124th Field Artillery, Thirty-third Division, U. S. A. Son of
John and Agnes Ambs, 2412 South Ninth street, Springfield. Ill. Born May 6, 1895, in
Springfield. Entered service April 10, 1917. Received training at Camp Logan, Texas.
Sailed overseas May 26, 1918. In action at St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne. Discharged
in June, 1919, at Camp Grant.
