HERSCHEL GEORGE ARNOLD
Private, Company L, 167th Infantry, 42nd, or Rainbow Division, U. S. A. Son of Mr.
and Mrs. George W. Arnold, Waggoner, Ill. Born March 19, 1897, in Loami. Address,
1856 South Second street, Springfield. Entered service August 29, 1918, in
Springfield. Received his training at Camp Wadsworth, S. O, and Camp Stuart,
Virginia. Sailed overseas September 25, 1918. Was on way to the front lines when the
Armistice was signed. Discharged May 9, 1919, at Camp Grant, Illinois.
