S. A. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Atterberry, 842 South Grand avenue, west, Springfield. Born April 26, 1893. Entered the service in June, 1917, and was sent to Camp Logan, Texas, with old Company C, in September. Sailed overseas May, 1918. In action in Meuse-Argonne. Was in France when the Armistice was signed. Discharged May 25, 1919, at Camp Grant, Illinois.
