FRANK D. BAKER
Corporal, Motor Transport Corps, 537th Company, 426th Regiment, U. S. A. Son of Mr.
and Mrs. J. F. Baker, 108 North Walnut street, Springfield. Born May 27, 1899, in
Springfield. Entered the service July 7, 1918, in Springfield. Received his training
at Camp Johnston, Florida; Camp Merritt, N. J. Sailed overseas August 28, 1918, on
the Corona. In action in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, St. Mihiel Drive and Soissons.
Was in Toul, France, when the Armistice was signed. Discharged September 18, 1919,
at Camp Grant, Illinois.
