WILLIAM A. BAKER
Captain, Company A, 311th Ammunition Train, 85th Division, U. S. A. Son of Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph N. Baker, 913 South Sixth street, Springfield. Born July 4, 1891, in
Springfield. Entered the service May 1, 1917. Received his training at O. T. C., Ft.
Sheridan, Camp Grant, Illinois. Was in Washington, D. C., in Motor Division of Q. M.
G. when the Armistice was signed. Discharged May 22, 1919, at Washington, D. C.
