Entered the service May 1, 1917. Received his training at O. T. C., Ft. Sheridan, Camp Grant, Illinois. Was in Washington, D. C., in Motor Division of Q. M. G. when the Armistice was signed. Discharged May 22, 1919, at Washington, D. C.
