Entered service May 30, 1918, in Springfield. Received his training at Ft. Thomas, Ky.; Camp Gordon, Ga., and Camp Sheridan, Ala. Was home on sick leave when the Armistice was signed. Discharged February 14, 1919, at Camp Gordon, Ga.
