JOHN F. BALTER
Fireman, 2nd Class, United States Navy. Son of Mr. and Mrs. John Balter, 1426 East
Reynolds street, Springfield. Born April 4, 1900, in Springfield. Entered service
June 5, 1918. Received his training at Great Lakes Naval Station, Newport, Va., and
Camp Paul Jones. Aboard the U. S. S. Massachusetts at time of writing. Not
discharged at time of writing.
