Corporal, Battery B, 74th Field Artillery, U. S. A. Son of Mrs. B. A. Bannon, 202
North State street, Springfield. Born June 18, 1899, in Springfield. Entered service
June 5, 1918, in Springfield. Received his training at Camp Taylor, Kentucky, and
Camp Sheridan, Alabama. Was at Camp Sheridan when the Armistice was signed.
Discharged December 13, 1918, at Camp Grant, Illinois.
