BANNON Bugler, Battery A, 124th Field Artillery, Thirty-third Division, U. S. A. Son of Mrs. B. A. Bannon, 202 North State street, Springfield. Born December 8, 1889, in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Entered the service May, 1917. Received his training at Camp Logan, Houston, Texas. Sailed overseas May 21, 1918, on the Mt. Vernon. In action in the St. Mihiel drive, Meuse-Argonne offensive. Was in action in the Argonne offensive, when the Armistice was signed. Discharged June 8, 1919, at Camp Grant, Ill.
