EARL BARNES
Chief Machinist, Company 6, United States Navy. Son of Charles Barnes, 1426 South
First street, Springfield. Born February 22, 1889. Entered service December 4, 1917.
Received his training at Norfolk, Va., Virginia Beach, and Fortress Monroe. Sailed
overseas April 9, 1919, on the George Washington, to serve in Mediterranean Sea.
Discharged June 23, 1919, at Great Lakes.
