S. A. Son of George Wesley Barton, Springfield, Ill. Born July 6, 1888, at Clemensville, Ky. Entered the service June 26, 1918, in Springfield. Received his training at Camp Taylor, Ky., West Point, Ky., and Camp DeSouge, France. Sailed overseas September 9, 1918, on the JFahnar Castle. Was at Camp DeSouge, France, when the Armistice was signed. Discharged March 10, 1919, at Camp Grant, Ill.
