West-Jersey pioneer. (Bridgeton, N.J.) 1851-1884: July 16, 1859
Died April 16, 1859, at his residence in Pleasant Plains, Ill., Mr. Zethew Hewitt,
aged 76 years. Mr. Hewitt was born in Woodbury, Gloucester Co., N. J., in the year
1820, and in 1843, he moved to Goshen, Cape May County, where he lived 37 years, and
lastly removed to Pleasant Plains, where he died. He had been a member of the M. E.
Church for the last 20 years, and died in full hope of a glorious immortality.
