Mrs. Melvina Hornbaker, 73 Years Old, Dies at Family Residence. Decedent Born and Reared in Clear Lake Township and Resided in Sangamon County All Her Life. Hornbaker – Died, at 9 o’clock Sunday morning, March 23, 1913, at the residence of her niece, Mrs. William Crain, nine miles east of this city on Clear Lake road, Mrs. Melvina Hornbaker, aged 73 years and three days. Death was due to infirmities attending old age. No funeral arrangements have been made pending word from relatives. Decedent was born March 20, 1843 on a farm in Clear Lake township. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Derecia Martin, well known residents of near Riverton. Following her marriage to the late Isaac Hornbaker, they resided on a farm one mile from her birthplace and continued to liver there until death occurred yesterday. Surviving are two sisters, Miss Emma Martin of near Riverton and Mrs. James Conlee of Athens, two step-sons, Harry Hornbaker of Riverton and Marvine of near Springfield.
