Miss Emaline Martin, Life Long Resident of County, Passes On. Miss Emaline Martn, who was a personal friend of Abraham Lincoln and who represented North Carolina on one of the floats used in the big Springfield rally held here during Lincoln’s first presidential campaign, died at her home, three and one-half miles southeast of Riverton, yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock. She was 79 years and 6 months old, and had lived near Riverton all her life. Miss Martin is survived by one sister Mrs. James D. Conlee, of Athens, three nieces, Mrs. William Brim, Mrs. Dora Ketchum and Mrs. Elmer Cobtle of Mechanicsburg, and four nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the residence of her niece, Mrs. William Brim, three and one-half miles southeast of Riverton and Rev. Mr. Hostetter of Dawson M. E. church officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill.
