Floyd K. Whittemore Dead

Was State Treasurer Part of the Yates Administration

Floyd K. Whittemore, State Treasurer under Gov. Yates from January, 1899, to 
January, 1901, and for six years assistant State Treasurer under Treasurers 
Hurst, Wolf and Williamson, died at the Springfield hospital Monday after a 
brief illness, aged 62 years. Mr. Whittemore was prominent in State politics 
for many years.
