Nineteenth Annual Report of the Illinois Bureau of Labor Statistics, 1900
November 10, 1899, David Wilkinson, miner, aged 29 years, single, lost his life in 
the Riverton Coal Co’s No. 2 mine, at Riverton. He was struck by coal flying from 
a blast in the room next to where he was working. The shot blew through the coal 
pillar which was left between the rooms.
