KY on 24 June 1844, migrated to Sangamon Co. IL at Mechanicsburg, IL after the Civil War. Rebecca and Anderson had 8 daughters and 2 sons. She spent the rest of her life in Mechanicsburg, IL. and died 28 March, 1913. Burial in Section A-513 at Mechanicsburg Cemetery. Rebecca Walker Hancock is my great-great-grandmother. Additional Comments: Rebecca's husband Anderson Jackson Hancock (1824-1870) served in the Union Army during the Civil War in the 8th Reg. Ky Cavalry and died of camp dysentery on 11 March 1870. Rebecca struggled to support her large family after Anderson's Civil War pension was terminated at his death. In 1905, the pension was restored.
