SANGAMON CO., ILLINOIS - PROBATE RECORD

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That we, Thomas LEWIS, A. G.
HERNDON & James GOURLEY of the County of Sangamon and State of
Illinois, are held and firmly bound unto the People of the
State of Illinois, in the penal sum of Eight Hundred Dollars;
for the use of Abram J. LANE, John J. LANE, Aletty Ann LANE,
Sarah Maria LANE, Eliza E. LANE, Henry T. LANE & Ellen Jane
LANE minor heirs of Jacob A. LANE, late of said County,
deceased, for the payment of which, well and truly to be made,
we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, and administrators,
jointly, severally, and firmly, by these presents. Witness our
hands and seals, this 19th day of March Anno Domini 1845.

THE CONDITION OF THIS OBLIGATION IS SUCH, That if the above
bound Thomas LEWIS, Guardian of the said Abram J. LANE, John
J. LANE, Aletty Ann LANE, Sarah Maria LANE, Eliza E. LANE,
Henry T. LANE & Ellen Jane LANE shall faithfully discharge the
office and trust of such guardian, according to law; and shall
render a fair and just account of his said guardianship to the
Court of Probate for the County of Sangamon from time to time,
as he shall be thereunto required by said Court, and comply
with all the orders of said Court lawfully made, relative to
the goods, chattels, and moneys of such minors and render and
pay to such miners all moneys, goods, and chattels, title
papers, and effects, which may come to the hands or possession
of such guardian, belonging to such minors when such minors
shall be thereto entitled, or to any subsequent guardian,
should such Court so direct; then this obligation shall be
void, or otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.  Taken
and subscribed before me, this 19th day of March A.D. 1845:
