Scott County War Memorial SCOTT COUNTY WAR MEMORIAL Many thanks go to Julie Jefferson who took the time and effort to visit the Scott County War Memorial in Winchester and to copy the names that are on it to be posted here for Scott County researchers. In addition to taking the time to record the names, Julie lives two hours away from Winchester, so she had quite a drive in order to obtain this information. If you would like to contact Julie to let her know her efforts are appreciated you can e-mail her. SCOTT COUNTY MONUMENT There is a plaque in the ground at the base of the monument which reads as follows: "This monument is dedicated to honor Scott County Veterans who served their country in time of war and to commemorate the bicentennial of our country.
