BRACKETT of Exeter Dies Monday Evening Well-Known Scott County Farmer leaves Widow and two Sons R.A. Brackett of Exeter, well-known Scott County farmer, died Monday evening at 8:30 o'clock at Passavant hospital after a brief illness. He was 64 years of age. A native of Exeter, he was born October 26, 1881, the son of Robert and Alfrettia Brackett. He was a charter member of the Scott county Farm Bureau and for the past several years has been a member of the organization's board of directors. Among survivors are: his widow, Mrs. Florence Brackett; two sons, Wendall and Merrill, both of Exeter; and four grandchildren. Mr. Brackett also leaves two half-brothers, Shelby of Dixon, and Chester of Springfield; one hald-sister, Mrs. Carl Bean of Winchester. He was preceded in death by one brother, two half-brothers, and a sister, Mrs. Della Huddleston who died at Silverton, Oregon in October of this year. The body was taken to the Dieterie Funeral Home in Winchester and will remain there until time of services. Funeral rites will be held at the Exeter Methodist church, Thursday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Robert R. Lewis of this city will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Ray Funk of Winchester. Burial will be in North Prairie cemetery.
