 Edson R. Waters b. 1821 Will
        I Edson R. Waters of the County of Scott and State of  Illinois
        being of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this
        my last Will and Testament in Manner  and  form  following,  to
        wit;

        FIRST-- It is my will that my Just debts and  funeral  expenses
        be fully paid.

        SECOND-- I will, devise and bequeath (after the payment  of  my
        just debts and funeral expenses aforesaid) to My  beloved  wife
        Martha Waters all of My Estate both Real and personal  property
        including all monies, notes and Book accounts due  and  payable
        to me during her natural life. It being my intention  to  leave
        the controle and use of all the Real Estate together  with  all
        the personal estate for her  maintainance  during  her  natural
        life.

        THIRD--I Will and bequeath to my  son  William  Waters  Seventy
        four (74) feet off the West End of Lot  Seven  (7)  and  Eleven
        (11) feet out of the South West corner  of  Lot  Six  (6)  Said
        Eleven (11) in Said Lot Six to commence on the Street  West  of
        Said Lot and run due East Seventy four (74) the same length  of
        what I own in Lot Seven (7) It being my intention to  leave  my
        shop and the land it stands on to my Son William Waters in  fer
        Simple, Subject however to the life interest of My wife, Martha
        Waters as aforsaid Laid Lots Seven and Six are both in Rowen  &
        Hersey's Addition to the City  (formerly  town)  of  Winchester
        Scott County, Illinois

        FOURTH--It is my Will and I so devise that after the decease of
        My wife Martha Waters that My homestead situated on Lot one (1)
        and the balance of Lot Six (6) not heretofor devised to my  son
        William be sold or equally  divided  between  my  Children  and
        legal heirs with the exception of my son William to whom I have
        willed my shop and the land on which it stands which is  to  be
        his portion of My Estate; said Lot One (1) and Six (6) being in
        Rowen & Hersey's addition to  said  City  of  Winchester  Scott
        County, Illinois

        LASTLY--I hereby nominate constitute  and  appoint  my  beloved
        wife Martha Waters sole Executor  of  this  my  Last  Will  and
        Testament hereby revolking and annulling all former Wills by me
        made and rattifying and confirming this and no other as My Last
        Will and Testament.

        In Witness whereof I  have  hereunto  subscribed  my  name  and
        affixed my seal this 28th day of May Ad 1888 E. R. Waters seal
