Shelbyville Republican July 8, 1910
Mrs. Susan McCarty, of Van avenue, received a message this morning to the effect 
that her brother, Jacob Trees, was lying at the point of death, suffering with 
pneumonia, at his home in Fresno, California.  Mr. Trees moved to California wlUi
his family some years ago, having lived here all his life until that time, and he 
has many friends and relatives here.
