Elliott, 59, of Windsor died 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct.11, 1978, in his home. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor with visitation 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and 8:30 p.m. Masonic rites. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. Mr. Elliott was born in Harned Ky., son of Stephen D. and Rebecca Thornhill Elliott. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Windsor, Mason Lodge of Mattoon. Financial secretary for Bricklayers Local of Mattoon, a veteran of World War 2, and investigator for the Secretary of State office. He married Freda Finley in 1947. Surviving are his wife, son, Robert D. of Rolesville, N.C.; three daughters, Mrs. Juanita Ratliff of Gays, Mrs. Rebecca Beall of Effingham, Wanda Cobb of Windsor; brothers, Ben C., George and Russell, all of Windsor; sister, Mrs. Emma Morrison of Windsor; and 11 grandchildren. His parents and two brothers preceded him in death. Pallbearers will be Secretary of State investigators.
