Finley Elliott, 75, of Windsor died 12:30 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 3, 1991) in St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. Mrs. Elliott was born Jan. 7, 1916 in Cooks Mills, daughter of George and Viola Morris Finley. She was a member of Smyser Christian Church of Gays Moose Lodge 312, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and the Eagles Lodge, all in Mattoon. She was a former Republican Committee Chairwoman in Shelby County and a traveling salesperson for Woolworth’s Co. She married Stephen J. Elliott in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1978. She is survived by one son, Robert of Rolesville, N.C.; daughters, Juanita Ratliff of Gays; Becky Beall of Effingham; Wanda Kearney of Champaign; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. A twin brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
