Obituary of Francis W. Ennis Wyoming, Stark County, Illinois File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Robert Ennis Mr. Francis W. Ennis died at his home in Wyoming, Ill., July 25, 1889, aged 82 years 9 months and 25 days. Mr. Ennis was born in Virginia; moved to Kentucky, and was married there to Miss Beulah Cherry in 1828. Three children were born them; two daughters still survive him. The son was killed by a railroad accident in Missouri sometime ago. His wife died in Kentucky; He then moved to Lafayette, Ind., where he lived for sometime, and then came to Illinois, and was married to Mrs. Ellen Cooper Aug 11, 1864. She still survives him. Mr. Ennis was sick for many months, and his life gradually wore away; much of the time he was a great sufferer. Funeral services were held at the Congregational church by Rev. W.H. Jordan on Friday the 26th. The body was buried in Wyoming Cemetary. A large number of friends attended the funeral.
