Cecil Bothwell, wha former pubplil of this school visited. He now lives in Chicago. A party was given in his honor at the home of Richard RODENBERGER. Room 12 - Vernon SORRELLS spent all day on a fishing trip to DuQuoin at the Majestic clubhouse and fishing resort. The following girls from room 12 are members of the Ukelele Club: Mickey SCHNUDER, Margarite WICK, Loretti DUHADWAY, Dorothy NEUBLING, Dorothy HAINES and Maxine Boesch. Geraldine McMAHON is back in school after being sick for a month. Joe SMITH is a new pupil. Room 14. Louis VERDIN sent our school paper to his grandmother in Madrid, Spain. Hilbert MUELLER spent Easter in Carlyle, IL. James ALLEN saw "Grant's Farm" in St. Louis County last Saturday. Delmar WATTS has returned after an absence of three weeks. Eileen SCHOEPPEL spent the weekend in St. Louis County visiting relatives. Floyd and Lloyd HUBERT were in Sorento, IL, last Sunday. Dorothy HALLOWS was in Stubblefield, IL last Sunday. Room 7. Golden Rule Club: President, Royce SHEPHER, V-P Marjorie SMITH, Secretary Reba YORK. Room 9. Dolores LARSON was in a dance recital April 25. Thelma YATES had a birthday party April 19. Mary Louise MALONE had a birthday party April 14. She was 11 years old. Frank CRAWFORD was lucky enought to ride Jack HOXIE's horse while he was here with the 101 Ranch. Joyce BOUNDS took and airplane ride at Parks Airport Sunday. Room 3. See Honor Roll above. Room 4 June MCCRACKEN whent to TN to visit her grandmother who is very ill. Viola BROWN went to the country and stated to days at OGLES Station near Belleville. Room 17. Bettie Jean DEMPSEY is just getting over the mumps. Arvett RAUSTENENSTRAUCH went to visit his grandmother at Highland, IL. Room 20 - Louis MENENDEZ and Edward PEREZ took a week-end trip to St. Louis. Room 16 - A surprise party was given for Marie JAKOWSKI on Friday Evening April 25, 1930. Those invited were.: Mildred INNIS, Gertrude ELLIS, Doroghy SHAW, Ruth KLUG, Marion VILLIGER, Evelyn ZIMMER, Virginia THEONE, William DAVIS, Harold DOUR, Robert HAPPEL, Richard KESSLER, Laverne AUGUSTINE, Albert VALENTINE, LaVERNE EBERT, and Herman JAKOWSKI. Jeanne Marie MATHES spent the first week-end in May at the State Normal University where she was the guest of Ella RICHARDSON. Orville FOSTER of Belleville Jr. High enrolled as a puplil of Room 16. Thomas STONE who enrolled in Hawthorne School in December, has returned to live with his uncle in St. Louis. Fred MATT has a great desire to attend the Manners School Room 5. Miss Stack returned from Evanston IL. Mrs. Ted J. MANNLE who will be presidnet of the Parent-Teachers Assoc next year spent last week at Evanston as a delegate to the IL Congress of Parents and Teachers. Room 21 Miss LIVESAY is training a group of girls to do the "Highland Fling" for Miss MORRIS' elocution contenst. Richard RODENBERGER gave a party at his home in honor of Cecil BOTHWELL, formerly of this city.
