The Intelligencer [Edwardsville IL] December 30, 1891
A notable family reunion of the descendants of Robert Hamilton was held at 
Marissa Saturday. He was driven from Scotland during the persecution in 1791. 
The reunion was attended by 250 descendants, some having journeyed all the way 
from South Carolina.
