Obituary from Freeport Journal Standard Dated Monday Dec 3,  1973,  page
12 Column 5:

"Mrs. Homer Kerch: Mrs. Homer (Anna) Kerch of Portola Valley,  Calif,  a
former Freeport resident, died Saturday in Palo  Alto  (Calif)  hospital
following a brief illness.

She was born Nov 13, 1891, in Freeport, daughter of Charles  and  Regina
(Schlamp) Schauer. On May 6, 1920, she was married  to  Homer  Kerch  in
Freeport.

Surviving is a daughter Mrs.  Jerome  (Norma)  Kennedy  Sr.  of  Portola
Valley, with whom she resided, and two grandchildren. She  was  preceded
in death by her husband, two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in  Walker  Mortuary.  The
Rev. Philip J. Anstedt, pastor of St. John United Church of Christ, will
officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the mortuary."
