Waukesha Freeman (Waukesha, Wisconsin) July 14,  1937 :

        Charles Schauer: A frequent visitor in Waukesha,  Charles  Schauer,  79,
        father of Mrs. Elmer Russell, 123 West North Street,  died  of  a  heart
        attack in his home in Freeport Illinois Sunday morning according to word
        received here.

        Mr. Schauer is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Russell and  Mrs.
        Joseph Kroer of Waukesha and Mrs. Homer Kerch of Freeport; two  brothers
        Mr. Albert Schauer and Mr. Edward Schauer,  both  of  Freeport,  and  19
        grandchildren and one great grandchild.

        Funeral services were held at Freeport on Tuesday July 13.  Mr.  Schauer
        was buried at Freeport.
