Teacher's Register, 1882, Tazewell County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 2000 Mark & Denise Day Printed in Green Valley Banner, Nov 20 1913. We have in our possession a teacher's register of 1882 with Sarah A. Anderson as teacher, and as so many of our old school-mates are readers of The Banner we thought it would bring back fond memories to read the roll as called at that time. The school at that time consisted of only two rooms and two teachers and the ones named below were students of the high room. The school now consists of five rooms, a recitation room, superintendent's room, library room, spacious halls and cloak rooms besides an elegant basement under the entire building and the finest grounds in the country. Six teachers are employed and we have a four year high school course.
