Heyl Dies 5 days after Son's Death Only five days after the death of her son, Mrs. Geo. A. Heyl 90, died at her residence at 812 N. Main St. Her son, Harley Heyl, died Sunday July 14, and Mrs. Heyl died at 8:30a.m. Thursday July 18. Services were held for Mrs. Heyl at 2pm Saturday at the Habecker Funeral Home. Interment was in Glen Dale cemetery. She was born Sarah Ellen Blumenshine of Manito, on June 2, 1867 in Washington, "the daughter of Philip and Barbara Himmel Blumenshine. On January 29, 1891 she was married to Geo. A. Heyl who proceeded her in death on April 21, 1832. Converted at an early age, Mrs. Heyl was a member of the Zion Evangelical United Brethren Church in Washington. Survivors include 3 daughters, Mrs. Florence Strubhar of Peoria, Miss Iona B. Heyl of Washington and Mrs. Mildred Easterwood of Anson, Texas; and a son, Wellington of Washington. She also leaves two brothers, Wesley of Washington and Manuel of Independence, Iowa; and eight grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Three brothers and 3 sisters preceeded her in death. The Rev. Wilbur Payne officiated at the funeral service. Mrs. Frank Heiple was the soloist accompanied by Mrs. George Ebert at the organ.
