Peoria Journal Star Raymond Maple Raymond L. Maple, 61, of 1007 E. Behrends died at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 1991, at Methodist Medical Center. Born April 19, 1930, in Mapleton to Earl and Lottie C. Maple, he married Phyllis J. Bryant March 7, 1951, in Peoria. She died Aug. 2. 1990. He also was preceded in death by two sons. Surviving are his stepmother, Elizabeth Maple of Pekin; four daughters, Barbara J. Smart, Mrs. Robert (Elizabeth R.) Manley, Mrs. Steve (Delores) Johnson, all of Peoria, and Mrs. Daniel (Cheryl) Madura of Washington; one sister, Virginia Maple; and three brothres, Robert O. of Joliet, Darold G. of Peoria, and Ralph E. of Creve Coeur; two stepsisters, Helen Monroe of Peorai and Karen Sabartis of Chicago; two stepbrothers, Jim Glass and Laverne Glass, both of Pekin; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A Korean War Army veteran, he formerly worked as a welder at Southside Foundry for 21 years. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Endsley & son, 1417 S. Stanley, the Rev. Joel Barrett officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
