East Peoria - Irvin Z. Vogelsang, 87, of 121 Urbandale died at 2:35 a.m. Friday, 
April 26, 1996, at Hallmark House Nursing Center in Peoria.
     Borm Dec. 25, 1908 in Washington to Ralph Edward and Lottie M. Zinser 
Vogelsang, he married Isla E. Horne on April 18, 1947 in Pontiac. She died Jan, 
17, 1980, in Peoria. He later married Leota Riddle on Nov. 8, 1980 in 
Bloomigton. She died Oct. 18, 1985 in Peoria.
     Surviving are one daughter, Bonnie Henrickson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two 
sisters, Vera Ruble and Helen Hesselein, both of Washington; and one brother, 
Victor of Titusville, Fa.
     He was an auto mechanic at several shops in the Peoria area. He retired in 
1989 from Peoria Camera Shop after 23 years.
     He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses, East Peoria Kingdom Hall for 50 
years.
     Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. 
The Rev. Robert Tilden will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. 
Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
     Memorials may be made to the Worldwide Preaching Fund of Jehovah's 
Witnesses.


Additional Comments:
This newspaper clipping has Irvin's last name spelled Vogelsang. All documents I 
have researched in birth, death, marriage records and family trees spell it 
Vogelgesang.
