She did not summon a physician until 16 hours later, and these facts tend to prove,it is aserted, that Mrs. Thomasson was not fatally hurt by young Higgin, but by some oen else after she left the depot where she had encountered Higgins and his sister. The name of a man whom Mrs. Thomasson was intimnate, and who is known to have objected to her relations with Higgins,Sr.,is mentioned in this connection, but so far there has been no positive evidence against him. When itbecame known that the grand jury had reccoemneded that Higgins be held for murder, there was a remarkable demonstartion on the part of his friends, who flocked to his assistance.
