Marriage Announcement - Kathryn McLEOD to Edward L WAECHTER, Vermilion County, IL Newspaper: Unknown (Vermilion County, IL), Date: 1940 BRIDE OF JUNE MRS. EDWARD L. WAECHTER Robert Burns MCLEOD of Armstrong, Ill., has announced the marriage of his daughter, Kathryn, to Edward L. WAECHTER of Plano, Ill. The marriage took place in the chapel of New England Congregational Church of Aurora, Ill. The vows were read from the marriage book of the bride's parents by the Rev. W. E. McCormick, pastor of the church, Thursday, June 20, 1940. The bride wore a dusty rose lace gown with white accessories, white turban and shoulder veil. Her flowers were white roses. Miss Margaret WAECHTER and George TATE, Plano, cousins of the bride, were the attendants. The bridesmaid wore poudre blue lace with white accessories and shoulder bouquet of pink roses. The bride was graduated from Armstrong High School with Class of 1933 and the bridegroom attended grade and high schools at Plano. Mr. WAECHTER is employed with West Specialty Company in Plano.
