ROBERTS Mr. And Mrs. Frank BRENNEN of Ellis announce the marriage of their daughter Sarah Irene to Ralph C. ROBERTS, son of Mr. And Mrs. Charles ROBERTS of Alvin. Single ring ceremony was performed Thursday, Mar. 3 at 11 a.m. at the Brennen home by the Rev. C. E. Smith of Georgetown, a close friend of the family. Miss Lonie Jane COSSAIRT, Potomac, sang "The Sweetest Story Ever Told" and "I Love You Truly," and played the Wedding March from Lohengrin as the young couple entered the living room, which was beautifully decorated with cut flowers and ferns. The bride wore a dress of powder blue with navy accessories and carried an arm bouquet of roses and sweet peas. A three-course luncheon was served following the nuptials. Guests included Mr. And Mrs. BRENNEN, Mr. And Mrs. ROBERTS, Miss Grace PHILABAUM, Champaign, Miss COSSAIRT and the Rev. and Mrs. C. E. SMITH. Mr. And Mrs. ROBERTS left immediately following the luncheon on a short wedding trip. Upon their return they will reside on a farm near Alvin. Mrs. ROBERTS, who is a teacher in the Alvin schools, will continue her teaching until end of the present term. She attended Rankin High School, Normal University and the University of Illinois. She is a talented marimbaphone player.
